Community Impact Manager/ Office Manager

Position Overview
The United Way of the Flint Hills is seeking to fill the position of Community Impact Manager/ Office Manager.
This position reports to the Executive Director and will assist in carrying out all essential duties and responsibilities related to the United Way’s mission of leading community change to improve people’s lives in the Flint Hills.
Under the direction of and in coordination with the Executive Director, the primary responsibilities are stated below.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Campaign
Assist in the execution of the annual fundraising campaign, including:
- developing marketing materials
- representing the United Way at community events
- planning events and meetings
- preparing campaign materials
- delivering presentations when then the Executive Director is not available.
Marketing
- Develop unique content for Instagram and Facebook.
- Adhere to the policies outlined in the UWFH Social Media and Marketing Guidelines.
- Update website and write monthly newsletter.
- Represent United Way at community meetings and at other events.
Database Management
- Input all data into Donation Management Software and prepare reports for the accountant, campaign cabinet and board of directors.
Manage Community Impact Programs
- Develop, manage and promote UWFH’s community impact programs, including Summer Climbin’, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and administer Emergency Food and Shelter.
Office Management
- Ensuring the smooth and orderly daily operations of the office including financial tasks like recording payments, making deposits and reconciling deposits with database.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from accredited two-year college or technical school
- 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will continue United Way’s commitment to excellent customer service by facilitating communication and relationship-building with community partners and key stakeholders (local organizations, businesses, and individuals).
Qualified candidates will be bright, energetic, articulate, organized individual to work in busy office with community leaders, contributors, nonprofit organizations, and individuals seeking assistance. The successful Community Impact Manager/Office Manager candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be able to juggle numerous priorities, work with volunteers, and maintain confidentiality. Computer knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems required. Willingness to be trained on Donation Management Software.
